Mike Brown to Coach All-Stars

Brown to Lead Eastern Conference All-Stars

Cavaliers' head coach Mike Brown (and franchise leader in winning percentage) is heading to Phoenix to coach the Eastern Conference All-Star team. Brown qualified by virtue of having the best record in the East as of February 1st (Celtics coach Doc Rivers was not eligible because he coached the squad last season) and will join star forward Lebron James for the weekend festivities. I can't think of another coach in the NBA more deserving of this honor. Brown has instilled a defensive mindset that is the identity of the Cavaliers and has turned offense-first players such as Sasha Pavlovic, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and Lebron into defenders to be reckoned with. Brown is going to cancel his family vacation he had planned and instead book a hotel in Phoenix for February 15th.

Congratulations, Coach Brown!
